ROBOTIC PANCREATIC SURGERY COURSE
02-13-2022 - 02-15-2022
Directed by Dr. Pier Giulianotti, a pioneer with more than 20 years of experience in robotic surgery, surgeons from the Department of Surgery at the University of Illinois at Chicago offer a series of advanced robotic training courses in the new Surgical Innovation and Training Laboratory (SITL). The first robotic pancreatic surgery training course will be held from 2/13/2022 to 2/15/2022. This is an intensive and comprehensive course that covers all aspects of robotic pancreatic surgeries. It involves lectures, two live case observations, and two hands-on cadaver labs. To promote the robotic approach to minimally invasive pancreatic surgery, the entire course will be live-streamed, and the surgeons can participate remotely with free registration
Course content:
- Case Observation and didactics
- Basic principles in robotic pancreatic surgery
- Preoperative set-up for robotic pancreatic surgery
- Step by step operative technique review
- Tips and tricks in robotic pancreatic surgery
- Complicated cases discussions
- Hands-on Training: Cadaver Whipple and Distal Pancreatectomy labs
REGISTRATION
Free registration for surgeons.
